On Friday, April 25, the Louisburg track team held their annual Wildcat Invitational Track Meet. The teams there included Louisburg, Spring Hill, Blue Valley Southwest, Osawatomie and Prairie View.
Louisburg boys took first with 164 points total, Spring Hill with 139 points, Blue Valley Southwest with 118 points, Osawatomie with 107 points and Prairie View with 10 points. For the girls, with 217.5 points Blue Valley Southwest took first, Spring Hill took second with 130.5 points, Louisburg took third with 126 points, Osawatomie took forth with 63 points and taking fifth was Prairie View with 11 points.
For individual placing in running, Mason Wilde, junior, took third in the 100 meter dash, Sean Dennis, junior, took second in the 110 meter high hurdles and in the 300 meter intermediate hurdles, Wyatt Sanders, senior, took second in the 200 meter dash and the 400 meter dash. For the girls, Ashley Ruder, junior, took third in the 200 meter dash.
For individual placing in field events, Conner Mcmullen, junior, took first in the discus and javelin and took second in shot put. Sanders took first in the high jump, Parker Cates, sophomore, took second in the pole vault, Ben Powers, senior, took third in the pole vault, and Tyler Reno, senior, took third in the triple jump. For the girls, Kelsie Eslick, senior, took first in the shot put, Ellie Katzer, sophomore, took second in the discus, Nicole Hopkins, senior, took first in the javelin, Makliney Matthews, sophomore, took second in the pole vault and Ava Littrell, sophomore, took second in the shot put.
Overall, the teams did great and represented Louisburg well. Good luck Wildcats at your next track meet!
